Deuteronomy 8:18

But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.

In the book of Deuteronomy, chapter 8, we find a powerful principle – to remember that it is the Lord our God who grants us the power to accumulate wealth. As fathers, we have a responsibility to harness the opportunities bestowed upon us by God, utilizing them to generate wealth and ensure the well-being of our loved ones. However, as we pursue financial success, it is crucial to remember that wealth is not an end in itself. Rather, it is a means to achieve higher purposes – to support our families and to expand God’s kingdom. 

Therefore, while we diligently seek out God-opportunities to make money and invest wisely, it is paramount that we keep God at the center of our aspirations. Let us not allow the pursuit of wealth to overshadow our devotion to Him, but rather, make mindful choices that align with our faith. By embracing the wisdom found in Deuteronomy 18, we can find inspiration to balance the pursuit of financial success with a mindset rooted in faith, dependence on God, and purpose-driven investments. Remember, it is when we put God first that we truly discover the blessings that come with financial growth.
